Take the shortcut from Sunnyvale to Glen Eden then walk up through the Waikumete Cemetery to the ridge above and tour Sunhill Scenic Reserve along a shaded bush track. From there we head down into the Oratia Valley, along Project Twin Streams walk & cycleway, back through Parr’s Park to arrive where we started at Rangeview Road. There are panoramic views across the Waitematā; Henderson Valley, over to the Waitākere Ranges and across to the Titirangi skyline.
During this 11km walk we’ll encounter a variety of surfaces – footpaths, a clay track, asphalt, grass, gravel tracks and concrete steps. Interesting native species are at home here.

Note that the clay track along the edge of Waikumete Reserve is uneven and may be slippery if wet. Assistance can be provided for wheelchair users to navigate this path.
