Silent Disco Citywalk is an immersive site-specific city adventure for up to 50 people in a group. The walk unites everyone from 5-80 years through a lens of creative and entertaining audio programme that everyone hears through the headphones. As a part of the Urban Walking Festival, Papaya Stories and Tamaki Regeneration are happy to launch a NEW event series and invite you to be a part of the FREE interactive experience that will give a new perspective on the Glen Innes Townships, its hidden gems and untold stories.
The conceptual underlying idea of the event route is Change. During our walk we are going to explore how we embrace the change – firstly, by honouring stories and knowledge of the past, secondly, by making the most of the present day while engaging wth public art, colourful murals at Bradley Lane; stories from the local heroes and artists. Finally we welcome change by staying open to new adventures and dancing to the beat of the change with a group of like-minded people.
The Silent Disco Citywalk Glen Innes edition starts at the playground at 39 Tippett street in Point England and finishes at Te Oro. Get ready to be surprised on the way.
