Have you ever wondered what goes on at night along the edges of the river in Henderson?
The Urban Walking Festival and Project Twin Streams invite you explore the hidden bush spots and trails around the Opanuku stream and Waikumete streams as the night falls over the town centre.
Along the way invited guests will share knowledge with you including Māori history, matauranga and ecological tales. Over the walk we will explore our relationship to the night in the past and now. The walk will involve following trails into the bush and requires a moderate level of mobility. Sturdy footware is recomended. The day has been chosen to align the walk with the high-tide and full moon.
