About the Walk

A women’s walk to the tihi of five maunga: starting at Ōwairaka then onto Puketāpapa, Te Tātua a Riukiuta, Maungakiekie and then along the Coast to Coast route to finish at Maungawhau.

On each summit we look at where we are, where we have come from, where we are heading. We will use a number of Auckland’s shared paths.

The walk is about 22km, the tihi are 110m to 198m high, a reasonable level of fitness is required.
We will be outside for about 7 hours, please bring enough food and water, plenty of sunscreen and wear a hat.
