Lovers of the loop

What: A self-paced loop walk from Takapuna’s Potters Park rose garden up along the coast of Lake Pupuke and back again.

Follow the route of two lovers, lost in each other, as they muse on what brings them together, bonding over the path they walk.

‘Loop of the Lovers’ is a story told through a scavenger hunt guided through the free ‘Actionbound’ app.  Follow the short narrative chapters directing you along the loop, with linked interactions at each stop to help you immerse yourself into the story.

Where: Takapuna. Our walk starts and finishes at Potters Park in Takapuna

How: Download Actionbound on your phone for Apple or Android and search for the title “Lovers of the Loop”

Who: This walk is suitable for adults and teenagers. The narrative includes contemplation on death and drowning.

Difficulty: An easy amble with small hills taking 60 minutes to complete, including stops.

What do you need: You need an android or apple mobile device with an internet connection to enable uploading images and comments along the walk.

Access information: This walk includes a section of travel over grass and not all road crossing points along the recommended have curb cutouts. The route includes stairs but an alternative ramped option is available.
